I’ve taken a little bit, and I do mean a little bit, of time and added a couple things on the homeback over on the right. –> that way, ya dig?
One. I “read” a lot. And when I said it in quotes like that what I mostly mean is that I listen to a lot of audiobooks at work and the occasional read at home in my down time. I don’t crack a spine as often as I used to, especially when it comes to books. But I thought it’d help motivate me to read more if I shared with you guys what I’m reading. So over in the sidebar I’ll post up a picture of the cover of what I’m reading and I’ll slap a link to a spot you can check out the book. Whenever possible, it’ll be a link to an independent bookstore. Gonna try and avoid Amazon whenever possible.
Second, with the inauguration of the guy looming ever closer I thought it might not be a bad idea to just put up a little sign letting everyone know that this is a safe place to hang out. It’s not like we’ve got a forum, posting, or chatting capabilities here. Not yet anyway. But if we ever do it’s not gonna operate like Ol Musky’s cavalcade of terrible. You’re gonna be a decent person or you’re going out. Through the door or though the window, as they say. That position applies also to the JGM discord. Zero tolerance for being a jerk to your fellow human beings. That’s my job.
Thirdly, we’re starting our tenth season, and thus tenth year, of Electric Leftovers. That’s some kinda milestone, right? I think for the 10 year anniversary of your podcast you get a mattress sponsorship.
I don’t think I’ve really got anything else for ya’ll today. I’ll be working on stuff here on the site when I’ve got the time, energy, and motivation. Hopefully that’ll be sooner rather than later.
